Dear Section Members,
Pursuant to Article V of the section bylaws, please be advised that the 2025 Nominations Committee has met to consider nominations solicited from the section membership and to make a recommendation for a slate of nominees to fill the positions for the office of Chair-Elect and renewing board seats at Place 3, 7 and 9, for purposes of the section’s Annual Meeting in September 2025:
Chair-Elect: David Sanchez (444th District Court, Cameron County)
Place 3: Gloria Lopez (308th District Court, Harris County)
Place 7: Kirsten Cohoon (451st District Court, Kendall County)
Place 9: Jerry Simoneaux (Harris County Probate Court No. 1)
Current State Bar of Texas Judicial Section members may vote for their candidates of choice at the section’s Annual Meeting, which will be held September 3, 2025 in Austin at the JW Marriott Downtown.
